- Where are you located?
FlannelJax's St. Paul is located at 755 Prior Avenue North, Suite 102, St. Paul, MN 55104
- When are you open?
We are open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 10pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 11pm and Sundays from 11am to 8pm.
- I'm lost in the building! How can I find FlannelJax's?
We have an entrance right off of Prior Avenue you can use which is easiest. But if you're already in the building, it can be a bit of a maze, so there are plenty of signs throughout the building to guide you.
- Is there parking for cars and/or bikes?
Absolutely. There is plenty of parking and there are bike racks in the parking garage.
- How can I get to FlannelJax's using public transportation?
Just ride the Green Line to the Fairview Ave. stop. Then just walk west on University Ave, and turn right at Prior Ave. We're about a half-mile north.
- Is FlannelJax's wheelchair accessible?
For sure. There is wheelchair access to the building and if you need any assistance getting to the FlannelJax's space, just give us a call.
- What should I wear for Axe Throwing?
Something comfortable that allows for movement. The only restriction we have is you must wear closed toe shoes.
- Is Axe Throwing Safe?
Definitely. At FlannelJax's St. Paul we take safety very seriously. Our trained Lumberjacks are on hand to make sure everyone is playing safe.
- How old do I need to be to go Axe Throwing?
We do have an age limit at FlannelJax’s. We don’t want your youngsters getting hurt, so participants are required to be 18 years and older. Participants aged 13-17 are eligible to go axe throwing if accompanied by an adult.
- How many people do I need for Axe Throwing?
FlannelJax's Axe Throwing games work best with at least 4 people, but we can accommodate as few as 2 or over 100 people.
- Do I have to throw axes with other people?
That depends on your group size and when you visit FlannelJax's. Smaller groups may be combined with others during our busiest times, while groups of 6 or more will always have a private lane when they pre-book.
- What is the difference between a private group and walk-in session?
A private group needs 6 or more people which will get you your own lane and our trained Lumberjacks will teach you the games, you need to keep your scores though. Walk-in sessions are better for smaller groups and -- depending on availability -- you may be combined with other groups.
- Can I come and just watch?
Sure, if you're coming with a group but not interested in throwing, you can just watch. You will still have to sign the waiver though.
- What type of Axe Throwing games can we play?
FlannelJax's has about 30 different Axe Throwing games to try. We usually start off with some easier ones, then get more advanced as your group gets better at Axe Throwing.
- Can I bring my own axe?
Sorry - but everyone must use the axes we provide to makes sure the playing field is level (and for a bunch of boring legal reasons).
- What kind of axe do you use for Axe Throwing?
At FlannelJax's we use 2 1/2 pound camp hatchets.
- Is there music playing during our Axe Throwing session?
Definitely. We'll have some great music playing the whole time - if you can hear it over your laughter 😉
