If you don’t see the answer to your question, just give us a call at (612) 268-4800
- What are your COVID-19 safety measures?
To make sure your visit is safe from COVID-19, we have implemented increase cleaning, social distancing, private courts for each group, and many other government recommended safety guidelines. Just give us a call if you have any concerns.
- Where are you located?
FlannelJax's St. Paul is located at 755 Prior Avenue North, Suite 102, St. Paul, MN 55104
- When are you open?
We are open Thursday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm. We will be returning to our regular hours as life returns to normal - which is soon, hopefully!
- I'm lost in the building! How can I find FlannelJax's?
We have an entrance right off of Prior Avenue you can use which is easiest. But if you're already in the building, it can be a bit of a maze, so there are plenty of signs throughout the building to guide you.
- Is there parking for cars and/or bikes?
Absolutely. There is plenty of parking and there are bike racks in the parking garage.
- How can I get to FlannelJax's using public transportation?
Just ride the Green Line to the Fairview Ave. stop. Then just walk west on University Ave, and turn right at Prior Ave. We're about a half-mile north.
- Is FlannelJax's wheelchair accessible?
For sure. There is wheelchair access to the building and if you need any assistance getting to the FlannelJax's space, just give us a call.
- When are you open?
FlannelJax's is open Monday - Thursday from 2pm - 10pm; Friday - Saturday from 12pm - Midnight; and Sunday from 12pm - 10pm.
- What should I wear Axe Throwing?
Something comfortable that allows for movement. The only restriction we have is you must wear closed toe shoes.
- Is Axe Throwing Safe?
Definitely. At FlannelJax's St. Paul we take safety very seriously. Our Lumberjacks are on hand to make sure everyone is playing safe.
- How many people do I need for Axe Throwing?
FlannelJax's Axe Throwing games work best with at least 4 people, but we can accommodate as few as 2 or over 100 people.
- Do I have to throw axes with other people?
That depends on your group size and when you visit FlannelJax's. Smaller groups may be combined with others during our busiest times, while groups of 6 or more will always have a private lane when they pre-book.
- What is the difference between a private group and walk-in session?
A private group needs 6 or more people which will get you your own lane and dedicated Lumberjack to teach you the games and keep score. Walk-in sessions are better for smaller groups and -- depending on availability -- you may be combined with other groups.
- Can I come and just watch?
Sure, if you're coming with a group but not interested in throwing, you can just watch. You will still have to sign the waiver though.
- What type of Axe Throwing games can we play?
FlannelJax's has about 30 different Axe Throwing games to try. We usually start off with some easier ones, then get more advanced as your group gets better at Axe Throwing.
- Can I bring my own axe?
Sorry - but everyone must use the axes we provide to makes sure the playing field is level (and for a bunch of boring legal reasons).
- What kind of axe do you use for Axe Throwing?
At FlannelJax's we use 2 1/2 pound camp hatchets.
- Is there music playing during our Axe Throwing session?
Definitely. We'll have some great music playing the whole time - if you can hear it over your laughter 😉
- Is there heating / air conditioning?
Yes - we keep our Lumber Camp at a comfortable temperature all year long.
- Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, we offer a variety of canned beer and wine, which you can purchase while your group is enjoying your Axe Throwing experience. No outside alcohol is allowed.

Just give us a call and we can do that for you. Depending on how much notice you give, you may lose your deposit.
